Disability Hub & Sports Facility - A welcoming place where all abilities come together to enjoy sports and recreation
About Us
OXSRAD was first established by Alan Porter-Smith MBE in 1988 and officially opened by The Princess of Wales in 1989. With over 27 years of experience the centre has grown in strength and popularity and continues to make an invaluable contribution to the lives of our members.
OXSRAD is an inclusive centre that integrates people with disabilities through sport and recreation.

We offer a huge range of facilities and activities so that there is something for everyone.

If you are recovering from an accident we offer one-on-one rehabilitation gym sessions. If you are just getting started with a new fitness regime you might be interested in our spinning classes. Maybe you are already physically very active and want to attend a boxercise session. Or maybe you or someone you care for suffers from a debilitating condition and could benefit from rebound therapy sessions or our sensory room.

We aim to fully integrate people with disabilities and work with over 350 disabled or disadvantaged members each year.

OXSRAD is a warm, welcoming place that many use to socialise. You don't have to join in with the classes or go to the gym, you can just call in for cup of tea and slice of cake if you prefer.

We are committed to improving the lives of those living with disabilities, be it physical, social, mental or emotional. As part of this committment we continually work to improve the sustainability and appeal of the chairty, implementing new, exciting projects when funds allow.  Our Facilities page will tell you more about the activities we have on offer at the moment.

"It would have made a big diffrence to me and to my family to have somewhere like this when I was growing up. But I've found it now, it's not too late! "
